Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Director of Key Opinion Leader Marketing in Rare Disease to shape external expert engagement and education.

You will define strategy, govern speaker programs, and drive adoption through peer-to-peer initiatives with KOLs, advocates, and congress activity. Leading a cross-functional team, you will partner with Medical, Legal, and Brand to ensure compliant execution while delivering measurable impact across the U.S.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of commercial pharma experience in U.S. rare disease or specialty markets.
  • Experience managing a speaker bureau and peer-to-peer programs with KOLs.
  • Experience planning and executing local, regional, and national congresses.
  • Experience building peer-to-peer programs in rare diseases.
  • Knowledge of MLR regulatory requirements governing promotional activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve enterprise peer-to-peer engagement strategy across the U.S. Rare Disease portfolio.
  • Establish KOL, speaker, and advocate engagement frameworks with prioritized investment.
  • Lead congress roadmap and cross-brand activation to maximize impact.
  • Governance and oversight for speaker engagements, contracting, fair market value rates, and transparency.
  • Design and execute integrated congress and peer-to-peer engagement plans.
  • Partner with Medical, Legal, and Business Ethics to ensure compliant execution.
  • Lead strategic partnerships with agencies and external vendors, optimizing ROI.
  • Drive portfolio strategy with data-driven insights from KOL interactions and congress engagement.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
