Job summary

Tanium is seeking a Director of R&D and Strategic Finance to partner with R&D leadership and own budget management for Engineering and Product. You will build financial models, provide insights, and support the multi-year plan in a fast-growing tech environment.

The role offers exposure to executive-level decision-making, collaboration with product strategy, pricing, and GTM teams, and a path to influence strategic investments. Hybrid work expected across listed U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance is required.
• 8+ years in strategic/corporate finance or equivalent at a high-growth tech company.
• Experience leveraging AI to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Experience partnering with R&D or GTM teams in tech/SaaS models.

Responsibilities

• Own budget management for R&D organizations (Engineering and Product).
• Build and maintain relationships with R&D leadership to model growth initiatives.
• Lead and develop a small team for budgeting, modeling, and project execution.
• Prepare analyses and modeling for COO, CFO, CTO, and executives.
• Improve management reporting to enable data-driven decisions.
• Translate product and GTM models into operational/financial insights.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and tools.
