Job summary

Tanium in Reston, VA seeks a Director of R&D and Strategic Finance to partner with Engineering, Product and Strategy, owning budgets for these orgs and delivering best-in-class financial modeling and insights to enable data-driven decisions and multi-year plans.

You will guide growth initiatives, build a small team, and provide analyses for the COO, CFO and CTO while shaping product strategy and GTM investments in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance required.
• 8+ years in strategic/corporate finance, investment banking/consulting, or tech SaaS/high-growth.

Responsibilities

• Own budget management for R&D organizations (Engineering and Product) including planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Model growth initiatives with R&D leadership and advise on ROI for strategic investments.
• Lead a small team supporting budgeting, financial modeling and project execution across R&D.
• Prepare high-quality analyses and modeling for COO, CFO, CTO, and other executives.
• Develop management reporting and analyses to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Translate Tanium's product and GTM model into actionable financial information to monitor business health.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and models in a high-growth environment.
