Job summary

UCLA Health seeks an experienced Pulmonary Function and Ambulatory Clinics Manager to lead pulmonary diagnostic and respiratory care operations across our growing ambulatory network in Los Angeles.

This high-visibility leadership role oversees Pulmonary Function Laboratories, ambulatory testing programs, and outpatient respiratory services, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• 8+ years in a RT leadership role.
• 5+ years in Pulmonary Function Testing, ambulatory respiratory services, or respiratory therapy operations.
• Knowledge of pulmonary diagnostics, blood gas analysis, respiratory equipment, and outpatient respiratory workflows.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CLIA, CAP, DPH, and other regulatory/accreditation requirements.
• Experience with staff onboarding, competency validation, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Lead pulmonary function labs and ambulatory programs.
• Guide quality, safety, and patient-centered care across networks.
• Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, clinical engineering, infection prevention, and operations.
• Champion process improvement and expansion of pulmonary services.
