Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director of Risk Management and Insurance with a strong disaster management focus. This remote US role leads risk/insurance for public sector clients, driving program design, strategy, and stakeholder engagement across government entities.

You will mentor a team, oversee claims support and flood risk reduction efforts, and collaborate with brokers and carriers to strengthen exposure analytics and risk data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, public administration or related field.
• 10+ years in risk management or insurance, incl. 5+ years public sector.
• 3+ years managing public entity property insurance and workers' comp.
• NFIP knowledge and floodplain management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development for risk management and insurance across multiple government levels.
• Build relationships with public sector risk managers and industry stakeholders.
• Oversee the Risk and Insurance team, including mentoring staff.
• Ensure quality and client satisfaction on risk and insurance projects.
• Advise clients on insurance program design and NFIP compliance.
