This individual will lead the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring consistent project execution through standardized processes, tools, and training. The role also includes direct project management responsibilities for high-priority Investigation projects. This is a build-and-run role: the successful candidate will first establish H&V's project management organizational capability – designing and implementing the processes, tools, governance, and supporting infrastructure required to manage a portfolio at scale – and will then lead the ongoing PMO function built on that foundation. Through leading the PMO, this role is integral in improving H&V’s organizational capabilities in project management.

  • Select, configure, and deploy the project and portfolio management toolset and supporting infrastructure, including reporting and data standards.
  • Stand up the PMO operating model - intake, prioritization, stage gates, and escalation paths - and mature it as the portfolio grows.
  • Continuously improve PMO processes, templates, and governance frameworks once established.
  • Lead the development and delivery of project management training programs.
  • Promote adoption of project management best practices across the organization.
  • Includes providing guidance to IT Project Managers Resource & Performance Management - Track and optimize resource utilization across all projects.
  • Lead a team of full-time and contract Project Managers, the size of which will flex with project load; provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Determine appropriate staffing mix between full-time and contract resources and manage contractor onboarding, utilization, and performance.
  • Ensure consistent project delivery standards and effectiveness across teams.
