Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Director of Project Development to oversee pricing, planning, and delivery for prime integration projects across a portfolio. You will own P&L performance and drive early interventions to protect margins, while coordinating shared SMEs across concurrent projects to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

This role emphasizes modular construction discipline, cross-functional leadership, and proactive client communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design-build industrial construction.
• Experience owning or directly supporting P&L across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience with modular, prefabricated, or industrialized construction methods and the logistics/sequencing they require.
• Experience managing shared/matrixed technical resources across competing project priorities.
• Willingness to travel across a multi-project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Owns aggregate portfolio P&L performance and reporting to executives.
• Identifies projects at risk and drives corrective action before margins erode.
• Ensures disciplined handoff between pursuit, pricing and delivery.
• Allocates SMEs across projects to optimize portfolio results.
• Represents pricing and delivery risk honestly to clients and executives.
