Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Director of Project Controls to lead the governance of costs, schedules, risks, and performance for large-scale infrastructure programs. You will mentor project controls professionals and partner with project teams to drive excellence across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

You will oversee WBS/CBS/RBS alignment, manage change, and deliver weekly to executive reports using Primavera P6, SAP, Enight, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience, including at least 7 years in Project Controls on large-scale projects.
• Experience managing or supervising large Project Controls teams.
• Strong proficiency in Project Controls tools (Primavera P6 mandatory), SAP, InEight, Excel, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and governing the Project Controls Plan as part of the Project Execution Plan.
• Developing the cost structure, master schedule, and baseline estimate, including baseline curves.
• Leading and supporting a team of Project Controls specialists across cost, scheduling, risk, and reporting.
• Overseeing variance analysis and communicating root causes with mitigation plans.
• Managing changes and ensuring cost and schedule visibility to clients and leadership.
• Leading risk management activities and integrating into forecasting.
• Producing performance reports and ensuring data quality in Primavera, SAP, Enight, Excel, and Power BI.
• Contributing to overall project performance through leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
