Job summary

United Way of New York City is seeking a Director for Program Administration and Evaluation to lead workforce development, education, transitional employment, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship initiatives through an equity and trauma-informed lens.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Atlas HOPE, you will design career pathways, oversee program operations, and build partnerships with providers and education partners while mentoring staff and ensuring data-driven outcomes across all four

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public policy or related field.
• Minimum five years in program management, strategic relationship building or performance intervention.
• Master’s degree in criminal justice or public policy preferred.
• Deep understanding of criminal justice systems, stakeholders, agencies; NYC context preferred.
• Experience with large-scale community-based program implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategies to address performance gaps across all Phases of the program.
• Provide vision, strategic direction, management, oversight, and leadership for TA development.
• Observe programs on-site, assess performance against standards, and provide feedback.
• Coach implementing partner staff and co-design performance interventions.
• Develop career pathways and stage advancement models for the Atlas HOPE unit.
• Build partnerships with employer and education partners and sustain relationships.
• Manage budget priorities and ensure program fidelity and quality.
