Job summary

Northrop Grumman, in Roy, Utah, seeks a Director of Production Operations 2 to lead the Sentinel program’s production activities. The role focuses on end-to-end manufacturing planning, engineering release, cost control, and production scheduling within a large-scale defense program.

The incumbent will drive integration across production operations, engineering, and program management, leveraging MES, PLM, and EVMS knowledge while ensuring compliance with government procedures and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ defense or aerospace experience, or 8 years with a Master’s in management for development/production.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP approval.
• 3+ years leading and/or managing teams on complex programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sentinel Production Operations IPT and ensure program plans align with baseline.
• Coordinate with Program Management and SDS teams to define and execute the Manufacturing & Production SOW.
• Develop long-range plans, milestones, and rate-readiness for production.
• Oversee proposal efforts for the Sentinel Production Operations team.
• Mentor and strengthen the manufacturing leadership bench.
