Amperesand in the United States (Reno hub) seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to design low-voltage and mixed-signal hardware for Solid-State Transformer subsystems. You will own boards end-to-end from schematic through bring-up and production release, in a hands-on role focused on depth in mixed-signal design for high-reliability power conversion.

This role collaborates with firmware on interface timing and with mechanical engineering on thermal enclosure integration, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Design low-voltage and mixed-signal circuits for SST products.
• Select MCUs and key ICs; engage with silicon vendors to evaluate fit and review errata.
• Design isolated interface circuits between voltage domains.
• Build redundancy and fault tolerance into board designs for single-fault tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage and mixed-signal circuits for SST products.
• Select MCUs and key ICs; engage with silicon vendors to evaluate fit and review errata.
• Design isolated interface circuits between voltage domains.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers on interface and timing definitions, and with mechanical engineers on connector placement and thermal considerations.
• Own full lifecycle development of PCBAs: specs, schematics, BOM, prototyping, bring-up, EMI/EMC, release to production.
