Job summary

Hightower is seeking a Director of Procurement & Vendor Management to lead and optimize vendor relationships across its national footprint. You will collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Technology to improve visibility, renewals, and commercial terms while driving cost savings.

The role focuses on building processes from scratch, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable value in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work in the Chicago area is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, contract management, finance, consulting, or related function.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to influence stakeholders across functions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and build processes from scratch.
• Proficiency with procurement technology and ERP systems; experience integrating with Finance/AP workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain; advanced degree or CPSM/CPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for procurement and vendor management across the organization.
• Coordinate and consolidate spend, agreements, or services across the firm.
• Develop visibility into vendor contracts, spend commitments, renewal timelines, and terms.
• Monitor vendor relationships and elevate issues to business owners.
• Support vendor onboarding, contract review, due diligence, and risk management with stakeholders.
• Establish procurement processes to improve visibility and purchasing discipline.
• Maintain an organized repository of vendor agreements and renewal information.
• Assist with integration of additional procurement activities as the function evolves.
