Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States seeks a Director for Private Client Services, Tax to guide tax strategy for high net worth individuals and families. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, drive complex planning, and build trusted client relationships.

You will supervise Associates and Managers, manage budgets and deadlines, and contribute to business development while delivering high‑quality work products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years serving high net worth individuals in tax planning and returns.
• CPA or licensed attorney required or equivalent certification.
• Proven leadership of multiple work streams and staff coaching.
• Strong client relationship and advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax and consulting projects for high net worth individuals across income tax, wealth transfer and international tax.
• Demonstrate technical skills in 1040, 1041, 709 and FinCEN 114 with tax compliance work.
• Mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers through performance feedback and training.
• Manage risk, resources, budgets and billings across several engagements.
