Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager in Private Client Services, Tax to provide tax planning and compliance for high net worth clients. You will lead tax projects, supervise Associates, and contribute to business development with a client-focused, collaborative team.

You will guide a multidisciplinary team, manage timelines, and deliver precise tax solutions across personal income tax, wealth transfer, and international tax planning. A strong communication style and analytical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years’ experience serving high net worth individuals with tax planning and returns.
• CPA or Licensed Attorney status required.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; can articulate complex tax concepts.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with GoSystems, OneSource, and research software preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; highly motivated.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax and consulting services to high net worth individuals (income tax, wealth transfer, succession, international tax).
• Lead and mentor Associates and Senior Associates; manage workloads and deadlines.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues; deliver concise, high-quality work products.
• Create client deliverables and communicate plans, objectives, and timelines to teams.
• Develop client relationships and support business development efforts.
