Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Director in Private Client Services, Tax, to lead complex engagements for high net worth individuals and private companies in the Washington, DC area. You will build trusted client relationships, oversee tax planning, and drive cross-functional collaboration with other Tax and Firm experts.

You will mentor teams, manage risk and project budgets while staying current on tax law changes and best practices to deliver industry-leading solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or Licensed Attorney credentials are required.
• Experience with high net worth individuals and tax planning preferred.
• Experience leading teams and engagements, with focus on risk and budgeting.
• Strong communication and client advisory skills.
• Proficiency with tax research tools and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-term consultative relationships with private companies and high net worth individuals.
• Lead tax compliance for partnerships, S-corporations, trusts, and individuals (forms 1040, 1041, 709, FinCEN 114).
• Review research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients.
• Mentor and lead teams, manage staffing, budgeting, and client expectations.
• Develop business opportunities and build cross-firm client relationships.
