Job summary

Huntington’s Director, Portfolio Management - Power & Utilities will co-manage a growing $4.5 billion book within our Corporate Specialty and Government Banking unit. You will underwrite and close complex loans, provide credit recommendations, and monitor portfolio risk.

Position involves coordinating with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, and other teams across multiple office locations including Columbus, OH and Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of formalized credit training program.
• 7+ years of related portfolio management experience.
• 10 years of diversified banking experience including portfolio management.
• Industry knowledge of Power & Utilities preferred.
• Strong negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage workflow and deadlines with competing priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership coaching and feedback to team members.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and close broadly syndicated, complex commercial loans.
• Provide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administration.
• Review loan documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
• Manage risk by monitoring creditworthiness, loan terms, and business conditions.
• Oversee annual reviews, renewals, portfolio reviews, collateral exceptions, and delinquencies.
• Support relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
