Job summary

The Nuclear Company in Washington, DC seeks a commercially driven Director, Power Marketing to lead origination, structuring, and execution of power offtake transactions essential to financing our nuclear portfolio.

The role requires a proven track record in closing large energy deals, deep PPA experience, and the ability to collaborate with development, finance, and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in energy marketing, origination, or related commercial roles.
• Proven success leading and closing large energy transactions.
• Direct experience originating, structuring, negotiating, and executing PPAs.
• Deep understanding of wholesale power markets and procurement processes.
• Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination, negotiation, structuring and execution of power offtake agreements.
• Develop commercial strategies for regulated and competitive power markets.
• Structure energy products and commercial arrangements for utility-scale and behind-the-meter use.
• Coordinate advisors to advance transactions from engagement to execution.
• Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and approvals.
