Job summary

Stored Energy Systems in Longmont, CO, seeks a Director of Power Conversion & Energy Storage to define and execute the company’s technology strategy for power electronics, battery systems, energy storage platforms, and control systems.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive innovation, and promote platform reuse across multiple product lines to strengthen the company’s leadership in industrial power systems and ESS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven success in power electronics, battery systems, or energy storage products.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex product programs.
• Strong technical expertise across power electronics, BMS, ESS, HV systems, digital controls, embedded systems, thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategy for power conversion, battery systems, energy and storage technologies.
• Own strategy, development, and lifecycle management of scalable technology platforms.
• Drive engineering execution for new technologies and platform enhancements.
• Oversee battery systems engineering including architecture, safety, BMS, and performance.
