Job summary

Sens USA in Longmont, CO is seeking a Director of Power Conversion & Energy Storage to define and execute the company's technology strategy for power electronics, battery systems, energy storage solutions, and BMS. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across product lines and drive platform reuse and innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven success developing and commercializing power electronics, battery systems, or energy storage products.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex product development programs.
• Strong technical expertise across power electronics, BMS, ESS, high-voltage systems, and thermal management.
• Experience taking advanced technologies from concept to commercialization.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for power conversion, battery systems, energy and storage technologies.
• Own the strategy, development and lifecycle management of scalable technology platforms.
• Drive engineering execution for new technologies and platform enhancements.
• Oversee battery systems engineering, including architecture, integration, safety, and BMS development.
• Lead power electronics development including high-power conversion, digital controls, and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for power electronics, energy storage platforms, and related technologies.
• Foster collaboration across engineering and business functions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and drive technology maturation.
