Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort seeks a Director of Platform Operations to organize and execute the Platform Operations and Governance agenda, acting as a scrum of scrums master. You will oversee the Infrastructure PMO to ensure IT deliverables meet deadlines, budget, and requirements, advancing the business across Universal Destinations & Experiences.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong vendor and contract management, and collaboration with Global Technology & Innovation to deliver

Qualifications

• Ability to dispassionately make and execute on quality, risk-informed decisions.
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly, simply, and at speed.
• Strong working knowledge of compute, network, storage, cloud and data center systems.
• Ability to drive and build consensus among business, partners, and Team Members at all levels within an organization.
• Ability to develop and deliver C-level executive presentations and business cases.
• Ability to manage and achieve financial, strategic, and operational objectives.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to define and execute strategic initiatives.
• Budget management.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio, Project & Program Delivery: lead a portfolio of projects & programs and publish performance reports.
• PMO Maturity, Process & Tools: implement best practices to drive on-time and on-budget delivery.
• People Leadership: build and lead a high performing PMO team and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Administrative: manage budgets and align with EH&S responsibilities.
