Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead modernization of the Global Recordkeeping Platform.

This leadership role guides cross-functional teams, drives strategic modernization initiatives, and partners with Product, Architecture, and Technology Leaders to shape a multi-year program. You will translate business strategy into technical roadmaps, hire and mentor a high-performing team, champion security and reliability, and leverage AI to boost productivity and stability

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading large-scale modernization, transformation, or platform engineering initiatives.
• Strong background in cloud technologies, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Translate business strategy and modernization objectives into technical roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, and milestones.
• Lead complex platform modernization efforts spanning multiple engineering teams and business partners.
• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Program Managers, and Technology Leaders to align priorities and delivery outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership for distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, integration patterns, and platform engineering capabilities.
• Drive delivery planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and execution governance.
• Champion engineering excellence, resiliency, security, and operational maturity.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that advance modernization goals.
• Hire, coach, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
• Leverage and champion the use of AI applications to deliver gain in productivity and stability.
