Fidelity is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology domain. You will provide hands-on technical guidance, elevate engineering practices, and coach teams to build scalable, resilient, high‑quality solutions.

You will influence AI-enabled development and modern tooling while scaling an enterprise engineering organization focused on operational excellence and strong delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Java and Spring Boot production backend experience.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of OpenAPI/Swagger and contract-first API design.
• Cloud-native platforms with AWS, container orchestration and IAM.
• Experience in regulated financial services or brokerage tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership guiding architecture and delivery end-to-end.
• Mentor teams and establish scalable development practices.
• Own domain delivery from specification to production, including testing and deployments.
• Partner with external platforms, manage API contracts and governance.
