Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering and Tools to partner with Application, Data, and AI teams in delivering scalable healthcare tech. You will lead the platform engineering organization, drive DevSecOps, cloud transformation, and modern release practices, while reporting to the VP of Platform Operations.

This role emphasizes growth, leadership development, and building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, MIS, or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
10 years prior relevant experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or platform.
6 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports.
Demonstrated success leading engineering organizations through DevSecOps and cloud transformation, including hands‑on familiarity with CI/CD tooling, GitOps workflows, and modern release practices.
Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), infrastructure automation, multi-cluster environments with an understanding of multi-tenancy and security.
Track record of cross‑functional influence, translating technical strategy into business value for non‑technical stakeholders and building trusted relationships with senior leadership.
Comfort operating in ambiguity, with a bias for action, structured thinking, and the ability to drive alignment across competing priorities.
Preferred Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, MIS
Preferred 6 years leading technical teams - including at least 5 years managing multiple concurrent teams across diverse disciplines
