Vizient, Inc. is seeking an engineering leader to drive strategy across multiple teams delivering enterprise software platforms.

You will align technical roadmaps with business goals, lead modernization, and build a high-performing organization focused on quality, reliability, and operational excellence. The role requires strong leadership, software delivery expertise, and the ability to develop future engineering leaders while strengthening culture.

Competenze

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing teams or tech leaders.
• Experience leading engineering organizations in matrixed environments.

Mansioni

• Lead multiple engineering teams with coaching and career development.
• Recruit and retain engineering talent and build succession plans.
• Define and execute engineering strategy, roadmaps, and modernization initiatives.
• Partner with product, architecture, security, operations, and stakeholders to deliver scalable software.
• Establish governance, standards, and patterns for quality, security, and reliability.
• Oversee partner-delivered and vendor-driven engineering initiatives.
• Review technical designs, estimates, and delivery plans.
• Lead platform modernization including cloud adoption and debt reduction.
• Promote Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and reliability engineering.
• Ensure production readiness, incident management, disaster recovery, and resilience.
• Monitor KPIs for delivery, quality, reliability, platform health, and team effectiveness.
• Drive risk assessment, capacity planning, and dependency management.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and support to reflect priorities in engineering decisions.
• Foster continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate strategy and progress to executives and stakeholders.
• Cultivate ownership, collaboration, and learning culture.
