Job summary

Vizient, Inc. seeks an executive-level engineering leader to drive multiple teams delivering enterprise software platforms.

You will translate business strategy into engineering execution, guide modernization, and build a high-performing organization focused on quality, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, and business stakeholders to balance customer value with innovation, while nurturing future engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise SaaS and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with modern engineering practices (Agile, CI/CD, IaC, observability, security-by-design).
• Experience leading modernization initiatives and cloud migrations.
• Experience in healthcare, SaaS, supply chain, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Proven ability to influence across engineering, product, architecture, operations and exec leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams with coaching, mentorship and career development.
• Define and execute engineering strategy, roadmaps and modernization initiatives.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Security, Operations and stakeholders.
• Establish standards, governance and patterns for quality, security and scalability.
• Provide executive oversight for partner-delivered and vendor initiatives.
• Drive platform modernization, cloud adoption and debt reduction.
• Promote Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC and observability practices.
• Ensure readiness for production support, incident management and disaster recovery.
• Monitor KPIs for delivery predictability, quality and platform health.
