Job summary

United Biosource Corporation seeks a Director, Software Development Engineering - Platform Development to lead the Platform Team responsible for modernizing software solutions in a highly regulated healthcare setting. You will guide architecture, SDLC governance, and delivery of enterprise platform services.

You will mentor architects and senior engineers, drive CI/CD, apply AI-enabled capabilities, and ensure security and compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA and E2B.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on software engineering in a technical environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience.
• FDA-regulated environment knowledge (21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, E2B) is essential.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leadership role in the technical design and implementation of software solutions.
• Participates in all aspects of the SDLC.
• Collaborates with teams to design reusable, scalable, secure solutions.
• Establish standards and readiness gates from concept to production.
• Create and improve CI/CD, testing, deployment, and documentation processes.
• Guide AI-assisted development and secure deployment practices.
• Partner with Information Security to manage risks and dependencies.
