Job summary

Cencora's Director of Payor Strategy and Population Health will lead national managed care negotiations, shape reimbursement strategies, and serve as the primary liaison with payors across the country. This role supports Retina Consultants of America in delivering value-based care and strategic partnerships.

It requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize contracts and incentives. This position partners with senior leaders to translate market trends into actionable plans,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. A Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Public Health Administration is preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years of contracting, negotiations. and health plan portfolio management experience in specialty medicine, private equity, or health care contracting
• Deep experience in understanding healthcare field – understanding parameters around how payers and providers are working, how they work together, and how analytics and aligning incentives is enabling transformation.
• Experience in a high growth, fast-paced, high pressure, constantly changing environment; private equity and or start-up experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Managed Care Negotiations and relationship maintenance with payors.
• Review health plan agreements and fee schedules to shape integration strategies.
• Represent Retina Consultants of America in national negotiations.
• Maintain contract management platform with all agreements and fee schedules.
• Collaborate with FP&A to verify the financial impact and develop budgets.
• Monitor market trends and develop solutions for under-performing contracts.
• Prepare reporting and analytics to justify recommendations.
