Retina Consultants of America is seeking a Director of Payor Strategy and Population Health to lead national managed care negotiations and relationships. You will drive reimbursement strategies, terms, and partnerships with payors, supporting our national team.

Role requires experience in healthcare contracting and value-based care, with a track record of scaling high-growth environments. This is a full-time position based in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Master's preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of contracting, negotiations and health plan portfolio management experience in specialty medicine, private equity, or health care contracting.
• Deep understanding of healthcare payer-provider dynamics and analytics-driven incentives.
• Experience in a high growth, fast-paced environment; private equity or startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess macro trends and market nuances to identify opportunities with payors and craft pitches.
• Review health plan agreements and fee schedules to inform integration strategies.
• Represent Retina Consultants of America in national negotiations to meet goals for rates and value-based care.
• Maintain contract management platform with agreements and fee schedules.
• Collaborate with Finance to verify financial impact and develop budgets for future proposals.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor trends and improve under-performing contracts.
• Prepare reporting and analytics to justify recommendations for internal and external use.
