Job summary

Lightspeed is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the Payments line of business within Financial Services, leading Group PMs and Senior PMs across North America and Europe, accountable for GPV growth and payments penetration across Retail and Hospitality platforms.

You will report to the VP of Product, collaborate with Engineering Directors and Commercial executives, and drive multi-year transformations to align Product, Engineering and Commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• : 2–3+ years at Director level managing large teams including Group PMs and Senior PMs
• : Ownership of a full line of business or major product vertical (payments, billing, or POS) with clear outcomes
• : Track record hiring, developing, and promoting product leaders
• : Experience driving structural, technical, or strategic change in a mature tech org
• : Strong executive presence with VP and C-suite partners
• : Deep grasp of business models, pricing and P&L impact of product decisions
• : Fluency in payments ecosystems and settlement processes
• : Understanding of platform architecture and migrations
• : Proficiency with lean product delivery and agile frameworks
• : Customer-focused with merchant empathy across retail and hospitality
• : Strategic foresight and multi-year vision
• : Data-informed decision making and reporting pipelines

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the multi-year payments strategy aligned with OKRs and P&L targets
• Own line-of-business outcomes: payments penetration, GPV growth, onboarding conversion
• Lead, coach, and develop Group PMs and Senior PMs across Retail and Hospitality platforms
• Hire and nurture product leaders with clear career paths
• Raise product management standards in discovery, modeling, pricing and data-driven execution
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, GTM, Sales, Operations, Finance to align targets
• Manage partner relationships with payment processors and acquirers
• Consolidate payments capabilities into cohesive platform experiences
• Balance long-term platform bets with quarterly commitments
• Present product direction to executive and board levels
