Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking a Director, Advisory Services to lead high-complexity payer-focused engagements and drive strategic outcomes. You will coordinate multi-workstream projects, mentor teams, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite clients.

You will also drive new business development, build executive relationships, and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve delivery and outcomes across the practice. Remote work available, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in management consulting (McKinsey-BCG-Bain / Big 4 / Boutique).
• 4+ years in strategy and/or healthcare consulting.
• 4+ years in project management, delivering to C-suite executives.
• 4+ years leading strategy work or strategic initiatives.
• 2+ years building & managing AI-enabled strategy teams; coaching managers.
• 2+ years in business development with $1M+ annual new sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-complexity, multi-workstream strategy engagements for payer clients.
• Build consensus among senior client stakeholders and guide deliverables.
• Oversee engagement managers and set direction for key outputs.
• Serve as SME in health plan operations, enterprise strategy, AI enablement, and product strategy.
• Lead end-to-end business development and proposal writing to win new work.
• Leverage AI tools to drive day-to-day delivery and team workflows.
