Job summary

Boulder Care is seeking a Director of Payer Partnerships to lead the growth of value-based behavioral health care through payer relationships. You will manage the full sales cycle, negotiate VBC contracts, and coordinate with teams to transition FFS to outcomes-based models.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in healthcare sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial value to C-suite stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in healthcare sales, payer contracting, network development, or managed care.
• Proven track record negotiating and closing complex VBC, shared savings, or pay-for-performance contracts.
• Deep knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial plans in value-based care.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sales cycle for new payer partnerships and VBC contracts.
• Lead strategic renegotiations to transition fee-for-service into risk-sharing structures.
• Negotiate contract terms, rates, and performance metrics for mutual benefit.
