Job summary

Beam Therapeutics seeks a Director, Patient Services to lead the strategy and execution of patient services for risto-cel, Beam's lead asset for sickle cell disease. You will design programs, coordinate with Brand, Field Market Access, and Patient Operations, and oversee launch readiness.

You will drive billing strategies, payer interactions, and oversight of access barriers while ensuring regulatory and privacy compliance, traveling ~25% as needed and onsite 1–3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant pharma/biotech experience with 8+ years in Patient Services.
• Experience in billing, coding guides, and patient services programs.
• Knowledge of OIG opinions and Anti-Kickback Statute regulations.
• Experience in buy & bill and rare disease domains.
• Willingness to travel ~25% and onsite 1–3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient services for risto-cel, including program design, planning, launch readiness and execution.
• Develop practical patient support and reimbursement solutions to support brand strategy.
• Partner with Brand, Account Management, Field Market Access, Patient Advocacy and Operations.
• Use data/analytics to monitor program performance and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Senior Director, Trade & Distribution to manage Hub and patient services.
• Ensure programs comply with legal, regulatory, privacy, quality and internal policies.
