Job summary

Ruder Finn seeks a Director of Patient Engagement to lead the rf.voices team. You will oversee day-to-day planning and delivery of patient ambassador programs for pharmaceutical clients, coordinating with patients, caregivers, and cross-functional agency teams to translate strategies into compliant, measurable engagement initiatives.

Lead identification, onboarding, training, storytelling and content development across channels, ensuring health literacy and regulatory compliance while guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public health, health sciences, behavioral science, social work, business or related field.
• 6+ years of experience executing pharmaceutical patient ambassador or comparable programs.
• Experience conducting sensitive interviews and delivering patient training.
• Experience managing program timelines, documentation, budgets and MLR workflows.
• Experience training patients or caregivers for live, recorded, digital and written communications.
• Strong interviewing and story-development skills with empathy for health experiences.

Responsibilities

• Execute approved patient ambassador program strategies and translate them into detailed workplans, timelines and deliverables.
• Document audiences, eligibility criteria, participant roles, engagement channels and activation models.
• Develop activation plans across live, virtual, digital and peer-to-peer channels.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are embedded in materials and activities.
• Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact for patient engagement programs.
• Collaborate with client teams and external partners to deliver work on time and within scope.
