Job summary

Ruder Finn is seeking a Senior Director, Patient Engagement to lead the rf.voices team’s patient ambassador programs for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You will shape strategy, select and onboard patients, coach ambassadors, and develop compelling, compliant stories across videos, blogs, social, events and more.

This role partners with clients and cross-functional agency teams to deliver authentic, patient-centered programs, measure outcomes, and drive growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in pharma patient ambassador, patient-speaker, or related programs.
• Experience designing ambassador models, selection criteria, training approaches and activation plans.
• Experience leading multiple programs or complex accounts in patient engagement.
• Strong client-counsel skills and presenting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop patient ambassador strategies and activation plans across channels.
• Identify, onboard and manage patient ambassadors and caregivers.
• Provide training and coaching to ensure authentic, compliant storytelling.
• Guide story development and ensure narratives meet objectives and regulatory limits.
• Advise on regulatory, privacy, consent and fair-market-value considerations.
• Lead client meetings and manage cross-functional teams to deliver on time and quality.
