Job summary

AstraZeneca seeks a Director, Patient Access to shape the U.S. patient access strategy for the Alexion portfolio and future launches.

You will lead a team, manage external vendors, and partner with Market Access, Medical, Compliance and Legal to remove barriers and ensure therapy access. You will drive programs across reimbursement, financial assistance, and free drug initiatives, aligning with brand objectives and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
• 5+ years of Patient Services experience.
• 5+ years of Reimbursement and Financial Assistance experience.
• Leadership and cross-functional partnership experience.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and recommendation of patient access strategies aligned to brand objectives and patient needs.
• Oversee the Patient Access Strategy team, vendor management, KPIs, and program improvements.
• Collaborate with launch teams and other functions on pre-policy access strategies for new products.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to enable compliant patient access and measure success.
