Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Director II to lead on-site patient access operations across a hospital/market, oversee admitting and registration teams, and drive process improvements with AI-powered approaches. You will manage budgets, mentor staff, and collaborate with executives to enhance patient experiences while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Travel to other facilities in the market is required and a Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years' leadership and patient access

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• 5+ years of Patient Access experience; hospital-based preferred.
• Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment.
• Financial and project management experience.
• Experience setting strategies aimed at increasing associate engagement.
• Flexible and able to work outside of regular business hours when needed.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated advanced usage of AI to lean into process and technological improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, leadership and operational oversight for on-site Patient Access staff within a specific hospital or market, directing all admitting and registration teams across all entry points and establishing positive, collaborative relationships with operational leaders.
• Organize functions through clear accountabilities, delegation of duties, and effective departmentalization without creating silos; build and maintain a respected team by selecting, evaluating, coaching, and managing performance, as well as negotiating cross-training and support with other managers.
• Accountable for a comprehensive communication strategy that promotes Employee Engagement, including enhanced productivity and morale, regular staff assessments, educational opportunities, appropriate staffing levels, and a strengthened recruitment and retention process.
• Direct hiring, training, and management of Patient Access staff leadership.
• Manage the budget and may perform other job-related duties as requested.
