Job summary

Northern Montana Health Care is seeking a Patient Access Director to lead the Patient Access team and oversee registration, financial clearance, and admission processes for inpatients and outpatient testing at NMH. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance and delivering excellent service in a busy hospital setting.

The Director will schedule staff meetings, provide ongoing education, and stay current with policies and technology related to Patient Access, while maintaining top-tier customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years' supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Experience with Windows application systems.
• Prior healthcare setting preferred.
• Professional demeanor and excellent public relations skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Medical terminology and health insurance background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Patient Access and supervise Registration and Financial Clearance staff.
• Ensure orderly admission of inpatients and hospital-based outpatient testing.
• Oversee pre-registration and financial clearance processes.
• Ensure compliance with all rules, policies and procedures.
• Schedule monthly staff meetings, in-services and ongoing education.
