Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Business or Health Care field preferred.
• Current Certification preferred through the American Association of Health Care Administrative Management or Medical-Dental-Hospital Business Associates.
• 5 years of medical billing experience.
• 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Keyboarding minimum of 50 wpm.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to comprehend, train, and apply given information.
• Able to multi-task with many interruptions.

The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About the role

The Director of Patient Business Services is responsible for directing and coordinating the organization's billing, collections, and cashier functions. The Director will also be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and completing performance evaluations of staff members. This role provides oversight for daily multi-disciplinary operations and staff, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Business or Health Care field preferred.
• Current Certification preferred through the American Association of Health Care Administrative Management or Medical-Dental-Hospital Business Associates.
