Job summary

Empower LLC in Massachusetts is seeking a Director of Participant Engagement to lead a field team of retirement advisers and counselors, guiding employees of Empower’s clients toward a secure retirement. The role emphasizes growth strategy, asset growth, and maximizing plan participation across an assigned geographic area.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years in financial services, strong leadership, and FINRA registrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
• 7-10 years experience in Financial Services industry
• Understanding of management, training, coaching & leadership principles
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency
• FINRA 6, 63, 26 & 65 registrations required; at least two registrations
• FINRA fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional team to execute a growth strategy for defined contribution plans and assets
• Maximize adoption of Empower products and services, including Managed Accounts
• Foster an environment of safety, autonomy, accountability, and career development
• Ensure team adheres to service model using Empower tech and processes
• As Supervising Principal, ensure regulatory and fiduciary rules compliance
• Facilitate training sessions on service activities, compliance, and policies
• Build partnerships with regional personnel and sponsors to maximize product use
• Analyze and control expenditures to meet budgetary requirements
• Participate in delivering sales presentations with Regional Sales Directors
• Carry out duties inherent in a supervisory position
