Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Panel Packaging Technology Enablement in Santa Clara, CA.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team to develop and validate panel process solutions, from substrate formation to interconnect, aligning with customer roadmaps. The candidate will engage with strategic customers, drive joint development programs, and represent Applied Materials in industry collaborations.

Qualifications

PhD or MS with extensive experience in semiconductor packaging, substrates, or interconnect technology development.
Hands-on depth in advanced packaging integration (2.5D/3D, high-density substrates, fan-out, build-up).
Experience leading engineering teams and delivering programs to customers or high-volume manufacturing.
Evidence of patents, publications, and conference presentations.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the panel technology enablement roadmap and integrate requirements into process targets.
Lead complex integration programs from concept to customer transfer; perform DOE and statistical analysis.
Identify gaps and drive cross‑portfolio coordination to deliver integrated panel solutions.
Engage with customers at executive levels; present and negotiate specifications and services.
Build partnerships with suppliers, institutes, and industry groups; represent the company externally.
