Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies in Santa Clara, CA. You will gather data, perform hardware characterization, troubleshoot issues, and generate technical documentation while collaborating with customers and external vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
7–10 years of related experience in process engineering.
Experience with semiconductor/display manufacturing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on process engineering experiments for multiple products.
Characterize hardware to support process development and optimization.
Create documentation, specifications, and technical reports for products and projects.
Plan, execute, and manage process engineering projects within safety guidelines.
Train engineers in measurement techniques and data interpretation.
Engage with customers to resolve complex process engineering issues with limited supervision.
Lead with vendors and suppliers on new technologies and products.
