Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corp in Dallas, TX, seeks a Director, Packaging Automation Group (PAG) to develop and execute go-to-market strategies across automation solutions for the national footprint, driving revenue and margin growth.

You will lead three units—Packaging Automation Sales, Field Service Technicians, and Parts & Service—own P&L for a $50M group, and collaborate with Marketing to create solution materials and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years at senior level in the business.
• Deep understanding of packaging automation sales, service and maintenance.
• Strong financial acumen with forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive to completion.
• Willingness to travel 30%+.

Responsibilities

• Profitably grow revenue and margins through automation solutions with new and existing customers.
• Drive process improvements to ensure exceptional customer experience across the process.
• Create and enforce performance metrics for post-sale processes (AR, support, parts, repeat business).
• Align PAG resources to support Account Executives with technical expertise and pricing.
• Maintain and develop manufacturer relationships and programs to support field sales.
• Evaluate and drive new technology applications for automation programs.
• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, white papers, case studies and automation materials.
• Develop staff through training and certifications for equipment services.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on supplier resources.
• Partner with market leaders to provide automation solutions for E-commerce, Food, Healthcare, 3-PL, Industrial.
• Provide direction and training to Equipment Specialists.
