Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Director of Outpatient Design & Construction to lead the ambulatory capital portfolio. The role oversees planning through delivery of new facilities, renovations and clinic rollouts, stressing speed, standardized delivery and financial stewardship.

You will partner with Growth Strategy, Real Estate, clinical and operational leadership and external partners to align capital plans with market expansion and system growth. A PMP or CHPM/CHOP-B is preferred.

Qualifications

• 15 years of project management experience, incl. healthcare.
• 10+ years managing large/complex healthcare projects.
• Proficient with project management software and tools; Procore or similar.

Accountable for portfolio governance and delivery of new outpatient facilities, clinics, medical office buildings, renovations and related growth initiatives, with emphasis on speed to market, standardized delivery, financial stewardship and cost predictability. Leads project management staff and serves as a senior partner to Growth Strategy, Real Estate, clinical and operational leadership, Finance and external partners. Laises with facility and property leadership in coordinating the capital improvement plan across the ambulatory care network. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Portfolio Leadership and Growth Delivery: Direct the ambulatory capital portfolio from planning through delivery, including new construction, expansions, renovations, clinic rollouts and other strategic growth initiatives. Establish portfolio priorities, governance, delivery standards and accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality and outcomes.* People Leadership and Organizational Capability: Lead, coach and manage performance for Project Managers and assigned staff. Establish accountability, workforce planning, development and succession practices to support a scalable, high-performing ambulatory capital delivery team.* Capital Planning and Financial Stewardship: Oversee portfolio-level budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost controls and financial performance. Promote standardized delivery models and design standards that improve predictability, efficiency and stewardship across ambulatory projects.* Strategic Partnership and Market Expansion: Partner with Growth Strategy, Real Estate, clinical leadership, operations, Finance and external partners to align capital plans with market expansion and system growth objectives. Provide senior leadership for time-sensitive initiatives where speed to market and cross-functional coordination are critical.* Portfolio Risk and Performance Management: Establish and monitor portfolio performance measures, risk controls and escalation practices.
