The Director, Operations Project Management plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and transformation within the organization. This leader will establish and oversee a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) within the Operations function, ensuring the consistent delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, and support scalable growth.

Reporting to the Sr Director Operations Development and partnering with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and cross-functional leadership, this role will define project governance, establish best-in-class methodologies, and lead critical projects across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and enabling functions.

What You'll Do:

Build and Lead PMO Strategy & Execution

  • Build and lead the Operations PMO, establishing standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Develop frameworks that ensure repeatable, scalable, and high-impact project execution across the supply chain and operations ecosystem.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and delivery of all projects within the Operations function.
  • Working with the Sr Director Operations Development and the OLT (Operations Leadership Team) align the project portfolio with company strategy, capacity, and operational imperatives to maximize business value.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with OLT and key functions including IT, Finance, HR, and Commercial to drive alignment, remove barriers, and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental engagement in planning and delivering initiatives.

Ensure Excellence in Execution

  • Lead project planning, execution, tracking, and delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and change control processes to mitigate disruptions and maintain project momentum.

Optimize Resource Allocation

  • Develop and manage an operational resource model to understand capacity constraints and enable informed decision-making.
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of resources across concurrent initiatives and provide support and guidance to project teams.

Monitor Performance & Outcomes

  • Define and track meaningful KPIs and project metrics to evaluate performance, efficiency, and impact.
  • Continuously identify improvement opportunities based on post-project evaluations, team feedback, and performance trends.

Lead Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the central point of contact for all Operations project-related matters on projects.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and impactful communication to executive leadership, team members, and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.

Governance & Reporting

  • Implement robust governance structures that drive accountability and compliance with PMO standards.
  • Provide timely and actionable reporting to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and strategic implications.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management.
  • Adept at influencing and managing change at all organizational levels.
  • Experience or deep knowledge of PMO tools and technology.
  • This position is remote with an estimated travel requirement of 10–20% for team meetings, onboarding trips and business needs.
  • Ability to visit manufacturing sites, warehouses, and distribution centers as part of project planning and project management.
  • Proven experience establishing and leading a PMO within a complex, matrixed organization—preferably within food, CPG, or manufacturing industries.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain and operations functions, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into executable projects.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • You’re no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.
  • You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making the company a place to be proud of.
  • You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.
  • You can walk in someone else’s boots – You seek to understand other’s viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.
  • You don’t walk on eggshells – You’re not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.
  • We recognize that talent comes in many forms. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. You may have strengths we haven’t yet considered!

What the Hiring Company Brings to the Table:

  • A fast-paced, energetic, remote environment with passionate people who are leading a movement to bring ethically produced food to the table.
  • Competitive pay and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Parental Leave, just to name a few).
  • Generous retirement contributions: 401(k) + Contribution from Day 1.
  • Annual bonus and equity grant (subject to business results and company approval)
  • Free product and discounts.
  • Professional development opportunities and an amazing team dedicated to your growth
