Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of program management and operations experience in federal contracting environments.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent federal contracts across different clients.
  • Hands-on PM experience required; may need to serve as PM of record.
  • Experience with agile and traditional program methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation in operations.
  • PMP or PgPg certification is mandatory.

  • Establish a delivery framework that provides Program Managers with the tools and support needed to succeed.
  • Monitor portfolio health using performance metrics and dashboards to identify issues proactively.

  • Ensure all programs meet contractual performance requirements and that Program Managers understand these metrics.
  • Apply agile and traditional methodologies based on program context and discipline.
  • Lead PMO modernization efforts, optimizing tools and integrating AI into operations.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Operations & Client Delivery to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space.

This leader will oversee operational performance across a portfolio of federal contracts, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and disciplined execution. The role will partner closely with Program Managers and senior stakeholders to strengthen the PMO, improve visibility into performance, and proactively address delivery risks. A key focus will be modernizing tools, workflows, and reporting practices while supporting both agile and traditional program environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,600 - $170,000 annually
