Job summary

Jobgether SRL, representing a partner company, seeks a Sr. Director, Project Management based in the United States to lead a broad portfolio of large client projects across North America, ensuring strategic alignment and delivering measurable client outcomes.

This senior delivery leader will shape governance, drive financial performance, mentor senior PMs, collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance and PMO, and raise delivery standards through continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 12 years of progressive experience in project management and delivery leadership.
  • 5 years of experience leading senior project professionals such as Program Executives, Project Directors, or comparable leaders.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
  • Strong knowledge of PMI standards, project controls, financial management, delivery governance, and portfolio-level decision-making.
  • Proven executive leadership and talent-development capabilities, with the ability to build accountable, high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of a broad portfolio of large and complex client projects across North America.
  • Maintain accountability for project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, margins, and resource utilization while ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Lead and develop senior project management professionals, providing coaching, performance guidance, career development, staffing support, and succession planning.
  • Serve as an executive-level contact for strategic clients, addressing escalations, strengthening relationships, and supporting long-term client satisfaction.
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to align delivery strategies with commercial commitments and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with the PMO to strengthen project governance, delivery standards, reporting practices, tools, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor portfolio-level KPIs and financial performance, identify emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies to protect project outcomes and client relationships.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director, Project Management based in United States.

This is a senior delivery leadership role overseeing a diverse portfolio of complex, client-facing projects across North America.

You will provide strategic direction and accountability across project execution, financial performance, governance, and client outcomes.

The role leads a team of experienced project professionals, including Program Executives, Project Directors, and Project Management Team Leads.

You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and the PMO to align delivery with business commitments.

Success requires strong executive presence, commercial awareness, operational discipline, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

The position also offers significant influence over delivery standards, talent development, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • 12 years of progressive experience in project management and delivery leadership, with demonstrated responsibility for increasingly complex portfolios.

  • 5 years of experience leading senior project professionals such as Program Executives, Project Directors, or comparable leaders.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline; a master's degree such as an MBA or MPM is preferred.

  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.

  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex, client-facing project portfolios with accountability for delivery, financial performance, risk, and quality.

  • Strong knowledge of PMI standards, project controls, financial management, delivery governance, and portfolio-level decision-making.

  • Proven executive leadership and talent-development capabilities, with the ability to build accountable, high-performing teams.

  • Strong client relationship, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, PMO, and other functions.

  • High resilience and adaptability, with the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced and complex environments.

  • A continuous-improvement mindset combined with strong operational rigor and attention to detail.

  • Experience in engineering, automation, supply chain consulting, professional services, systems integration, or technology-driven project environments is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models is a plus.
