Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operational Excellence to lead a high-impact program across 1,400+ locations in North America.

You will translate strategic aims into field-ready pilots, build scalable playbooks, and partner with senior leaders to drive service, logistics, and technology adoption at scale. The role combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and change leadership to improve productivity, asset utilization, and customer experience across a vast, asset-intensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Track record turning financial/operational data into business cases that move metrics across locations.
• Experience piloting and scaling operating model changes across a multi-site network.
• Comfort building analytical cases and implementing field-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Surface and prioritize biggest operational opportunities with leadership.
• Drive measurable improvements in productivity, asset utilization, and profitability.
• Lead scoping, design, and in-market piloting of top initiatives with rapid iteration.
• Partner with local and regional ops leadership to ensure practical, scalable solutions.
• Quantify operational and financial impact and support executive decisions.
• Evaluate new technology and shape rollout and change plans for adoption.
• Own initiative pipeline end-to-end and mentor a small high-caliber team.
