Job summary

The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, located on the Athens campus, is seeking a Director of Youth Programs to lead the comprehensive youth programming portfolio—summer camps, academic competitions, and innovative educational initiatives. You will recruit, hire, and direct a multidisciplinary team across instructional, program, administrative, and residential staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 10 years of professional experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
Overnight camp experience preferred.
Program development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer and continually develop the year-round youth programming portfolio (60+ programs) offered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
Direct year-round operational management of youth programs, including enrollment, logistics, compliance, and staff supervision.
Proactively identify and formalize partnerships, sponsored works, grants, and collaborations to expand offerings and funding.
Develop, manage, and monitor an annual program revenue budget exceeding $900,000 and provide financial reporting for planning.
Oversee staffing, training, safety, and quality standards for youth programs serving approximately 2,000 minors annually.
