Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Dir, Epidemiology Pipeline (TA - Virology) to provide scientific leadership in virology trial design and epidemiology strategy. The role interfaces with RWLP management, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to guide study design, analysis plans, and regulatory-ready deliverables.

The incumbent will oversee start-up and management of studies, develop key documents, and drive publication activity while advancing RWLP SOPs and training in epidemiologic methods.

Qualifications

• SME in Virology Clinical Trials.
• Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health (Master's; Doctorate preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of diverse study designs; familiarity with post-marketing and late-phase designs.
• Basic knowledge of statistical programming languages (SAS, R, Python).
• Excellent written and spoken communication; strong presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scientific resource for RWLP management, senior leadership, and other functions with virology expertise.
• Collaborate with RWLP management, business development, and operations to develop and win global opportunities; lead proposals and capability presentations.
• Provide scientific oversight to projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Oversee study start-up and ongoing management; guide protocol, CRFs, SAP, SMPs, and interim/final reports.
• Facilitate safety studies advisory boards and produce scientific reports/manuscripts.
• Build trainings on epidemiologic designs and guidelines for RWLP/Company.
• Develop organizational capabilities and implement process improvements for non-traditional site management and RWLP SOPs.
• Foster relationships with sponsors and thought leaders; develop abstracts and contribute to publications.
