Churchill Downs Racetrack LLC, located in Louisville, KY, seeks a Director of Venue Operations to lead live race day and year-round venue operations. You will supervise cross-functional teams, optimize staffing and resources, and collaborate with Finance to manage expenses while enhancing guest hospitality.

Responsibilities include Derby Week credentialing, vendor management, security coordination, parking operations, and continuous process improvements to elevate the guest experience and safety

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, sports/event management or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in venue or event operations with leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of crowd management, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams for live racing and venue operations.
• Manage budgets, labor costs, and vendor relationships to control expenses.
• Coordinate Derby Week and major events with departments and external partners.
• Develop training materials, battle plans, and post-race reporting for operations.
• Oversee security screening, parking, traffic management, and guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and quality standards.
